How can I increase my sleep score?Updated 5 days ago
Your "sleep score" is also called your "sleep readiness score." This score is not indicative of how you slept. Rather, it's a predictive score of how ready your brain is to enjoy a night of quality rest, based on a pre- and post-session snapshot of your brain activity that Somnee analyzes.
Your sleep score measures:
- Sleep Readiness Score: this indicates the overall sleep quality measure for the recuperative sleep that night
- Onset: this shows how prepared you were to fall asleep after stimulation
- Maintenance: this is a measure of how prepared you were to have continued sleep with fewer interruptions
- Depth: This measures how prepared you were to enjoy deep sleep
There are a few things you can do to improve your sleep readiness scores, mostly related to your nightly routine and daily health habits. Here's a quick article with 10 tips from Dr. Matt Walker to help you get started.

*It's important to note that scores will not improve overnight. But if you follow sleep hygiene best practices, you should see your scores improve gradually over time.
More important than your sleep scores, is how you feel. When you wake up, take a minute to check in with yourself. How energized do you feel? Does your energy and focus last longer through the day? These are the best measures of whether you experienced quality sleep.
