The electrodes aren’t touching my forehead or keep losing contact.Updated 8 months ago

If your electrodes are not touching your forehead, please try the following:

  • Try adjusting the Somnee headband. It should be tight enough that you cannot easily slide it around your head, but not uncomfortable.
  • When you attach new electrodes to the flex clip, make sure you hear a "snap," which indicates that the electrodes are securely attached.
  • After you connect the flex clip to the headband, gently but firmly press down on the electrodes to ensure full contact with your forehead.
  • If only one of the electrodes is properly touching your skin, make sure the band is centered horizontally on your forehead. The button should be above the bridge of your nose.
  • Typically the bottom of the headband should sit on or just above your brow. If you don't feel both electrodes fully touching your skin, try moving the headband up or down a little on your forehead to help the electrodes sit properly on your skin.
  • Make sure no hair is caught between the electrodes and your skin.
  • Try to relax and minimize movement around during your stim session.
